What is World Fair Trade Day?
World Fair Trade Day takes place on 11th May 2019. Organised by the World Fair Trade Organisation, the aim of the day is to celebrate Fair Trade and encourage the public to, where possible, choose Fair Trade goods, becoming fair and ethical consumers.
Fair Trade observes the human rights of all involved, paying fairly for goods and services that have been sustainably sourced and also engaging in supporting the fight against economic crisis, poverty, gender inequality and climate change.
Think Human | Drink Fair
Here at FoodWell our ethos of ‘mind, body, soul’ means we make conscious decisions about the food and drink we serve our customers. We aim to use produce and brands that have been sourced ethically and sustainably.
Three of our most popular cocktails are made from FAIR drinks:
Our Acai Bowl is made with FAIR AÇAÍ:

Our Rose & Goji Martini is made with FAIR GOJI:
Made using goji berries, long recognized as being one of the most nutritious fruits on earth. Modern research has found goji berries to be rich in antioxidants. The Goji berry juice is a key factor in the unique flavor profile of this product.
The Goji berries are organically grown by the Dustkul Bogi in Uzbekistan. They are sourced in the Samarkand region. The sugar used in FAIR. Goji Liqueur is also organic and Fair Trade Certified, coming from various coops in countries such as Malawi and Paraguay.
Our Espresso Martini is made with FAIR CACAO:
FAIR Cacao Liqueur is made using organic & fairtrade certified cocoa nibs from Peru. The nibs are infused into a vodka base to create a rich-flavored based spirit. Slowly and progressively we are adding fair-trade liquid sugar, natural cocoa extract and demineralised water to get a full and perfect harmonisation.
